Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honors artistes who performed in front of the Vidhan Bhavan on the 78th Independence Day

Lucknow : Art transcends the barriers of individual identity, caste, religion, language, or region; it belongs to the entire nation and reflects our rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made the statement while honoring artistes from Uttar Pradesh and across the country, who performed at the Vidhan Bhavan on the 78th Independence Day. The ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s official residence on Thursday.

Welcoming the artistes, the CM expressed his pleasure at seeing them in Lucknow, the capital of UP, on Independence Day and praised their spectacular performance.

CM Yogi said, “Every year, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we invite artists from various states to Uttar Pradesh for occasions like Independence Day, Republic Day, and Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day. Similarly, artistes from Uttar Pradesh travel to other states. This initiative is a small yet meaningful effort to demonstrate the importance and power of cultural exchange, inspiring us all to participate in this artistic collaboration. By respecting each other’s languages and traditions, we can embody the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of preserving ancient musical instruments, which modern ones increasingly overshadow. He urged artistes to safeguard these traditional instruments and even create museums dedicated to them in their communities, as they are vital symbols of our artistic heritage.

Throughout India, people have expressed their traditions through poetry, song, and music, often using instruments to convey what words cannot.

The CM encouraged artistes to continue this legacy by protecting and promoting these ancient instruments. He acknowledged the efforts of those who have already taken steps in this direction and expressed hope that more artists would follow suit, ensuring that these cultural treasures endure. The CM also expressed his gratitude to the guest artistes and those from Uttar Pradesh.

He noted that the visiting artistes had the opportunity to witness the Independence Day celebrations in Lucknow and were invited to perform alongside local artistes.

He highlighted that their collective aim should be to represent the diverse culture of the entire nation.

The CM remarked on the profound significance of bringing together so many artistes on a single stage, calling it a truly remarkable and inspiring moment.

The Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department, Mukesh Kumar Meshram, the Principal Secretary (Chief Minister), Sanjay Prasad, the Director of Information, Shishir, etc., were present on this occasion.
