New Delhi, September 2026: Lt Gen Rajiv Kumar Sahni, Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DGEME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME), undertook a forward area visit to troops deployed in the Fire and Fury Corps sector along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The visit focused on assessing the technical preparedness and engineering support available to frontline formations operating in one of the Army’s most challenging operational environments.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sahni conducted a detailed review of the engineering support framework and assessed the operational readiness of weapons, vehicles and other equipment held by Army units and formations.
