Raipur, Jan 2026: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today inaugurated the Budget Workshop 2026-27 at the Jharkhand Secretariat, highlighting the need for a comprehensive, inclusive, and development-oriented budget. Emphasizing the role of budget as a tool to empower every section of society, he said that the upcoming budget should reflect the aspirations of the people, especially the youth, and ensure equitable growth across all sectors.

Budget as a Tool for Inclusive Development

CM Soren emphasized that the state requires a strong and multi-dimensional budget that not only supports economic growth but also promotes social equity. “The budget should be forward-looking, providing opportunities and addressing the needs of every segment of society. He highlighted that the estimated size of the upcoming budget is around ₹1 lakh crore, with a plan for growth in subsequent years.
