Chief Minister Meets State Day of Prayer Committee

Aizawl, February 2026: Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma today met members of the State Day of Prayers Committee at his office and discussed preparations for the State Day of Prayers to be observed this year.

State Day of Prayers Committee Chairman Rev. Lalramliana Pachuau, in his introductory remarks, stated that the committee was honoured to have the Chief Minister as the Patron of the committee. Pu F. Rodingliana, Working Committee Chairman, briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations being made for the observance.

According to the report, last year’s State Day of Prayers was observed in 108 localities across Mizoram, with four localities outside the state also holding the prayer programme. This year, the committee plans to send official communications to all localities in Mizoram to ensure wider participation.

The committee also emphasized that the State Day of Prayers is not a political or party-driven initiative, but a statewide collective prayer programme to be observed by people across the state.
