Appreciation of Women Empowerment and Women Officers in Maharashtra by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Palghar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the women officials holding important positions in Maharashtra, highlighting the state’s leadership in women’s development and empowerment.

In a public meeting, Prime Minister Modi commended the achievements of women officers in Maharashtra. He noted that women are excelling in high-level positions across the state. Sujata Saunik is guiding the state’s administration as the Chief Secretary, Rashmi Shukla is serving as the Director General of Police, and Soumita Biswas is leading the Forest Protection Force. Suvarna Kevele is in charge of the state’s legal department, while Jaya Bhagat manages the customs department in Mumbai as the Principal Accountant General. Additionally, Metro 3 is being managed by Ashwini Bhide.

Prime Minister Modi also recognized Lieutenant General Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar, Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra Health University, and Dr. Apoorva Palkar, the first Vice-Chancellor of the Skill Development University.

He emphasized that the women of Maharashtra are excelling in many crucial roles, and their contributions are shaping the future of society. According to Modi, this empowerment of women is fundamental to the vision of a developed India.
