District Level Children’s Science Congress 2024 Held at Saitual
Saitual : The District Level Children’s Science Congress 2024 was held today at 10:30 AM at the Government Saitual College Auditorium, with the theme “Understanding Ecosystem for Health and Well-being.” The event featured 3 teams in the Junior category and 6 teams in the Senior category competing with their projects.
During the event, Pi Chhuanhlupuii, Additional DPC & SDEO, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of science in shaping the future. She emphasized that the children participating today as ‘Child Scientists’ have the potential to be future innovators, making significant contributions for the betterment of the world. She encouraged the students to aim for excellence in all they do, reminding them that they could be tomorrow’s leaders.

The National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC), which began in 1993, is a program initiated by the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Students first compete at the District and State levels, and selected teams from each state proceed to the National level. Teams from Gulf countries also participate in the NCSC. It is the oldest and most prestigious science project competition for students in India.
The event was led by Mr. R. Lalhmangaiha, Deputy DPC, Samagra Shiksha, Saitual District, while Pi K. Lalruatpuii, District Coordinator CSC, Saitual, presented a report on previous achievements of CSC in Saitual. Pi Chhuanhlupuii, Addl. DPC & SDEO, Saitual, gave the concluding remarks, and Mr. Zochhuanmawia, Academic Coordinator, CSC Saitual, gave a vote of thanks to close the event.
