Mumbai : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar extended his Dussehra and Vijayadashami greetings to the people of Maharashtra, wishing that this year’s Vijayadashami brings success, prosperity, happiness, health, and enthusiasm into everyone’s lives. He expressed hope that the natural calamities facing the state, as well as ignorance, injustice, and superstition in society, would be eradicated.
In his greeting message, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, “Vijayadashami or Dussehra is a festival of joy and unity for all of us. It is a day to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, truth over falsehood, knowledge over ignorance, bravery over enemies, love over hatred, and permanence over transience. This festival instills in us the belief that truth always prevails. On Dussehra, we worship wealth, knowledge, devotion, and strength. Following the sacred festival of Navaratri, Dussehra is a symbol of our glorious culture. I am confident that this vibrant festival will bring happiness into everyone’s life,” Pawar said.
The Deputy Chief Minister added that the state government is working diligently to bring joy and happiness into the lives of the farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged. The government has launched several ambitious schemes for different sectors, and their implementation is in progress. “On this occasion of Dussehra, let us unite for the benefit of the state and the development of all sections of society. Let us ensure that the government’s welfare schemes reach their intended beneficiaries,” Pawar urged in his message.
