Mahakumbh Nagar : The final bathing festival of Maha Kumbh 2025, held on Mahashivratri (February 26, 2025), witnessed millions of devotees taking a holy dip at the Sangam and other ghats amid strict security arrangements. Chanting “Har Har Mahadev,” devotees performed rituals, visited prominent temples like Mankameshwar, Someshwar Nath, Veni Madhav, and Nagvasuki, and offered prayers to Lord Shiva.
To ensure a smooth and safe experience, an extensive police deployment was in place, including civil police, traffic police, women police, PAC, mounted police, and paramilitary forces. Water police, motorboats, and divers were stationed at the ghats for constant surveillance.
The entire fairground was monitored through CCTV cameras, while public address systems provided necessary guidance to devotees.
Adequate parking arrangements near temples helped manage crowds efficiently. Senior police officials, including DIG Vaibhav Krishna (IPS) and SSP Rajesh Dwivedi (IPS), oversaw the arrangements, inspected security measures, and motivated on-duty personnel.
With the unwavering commitment of the police force, the Mahashivratri bathing festival concluded successfully, allowing millions of devotees to participate in the sacred rituals without any disruptions.
