Revival of Sanatan Dharma Brings Global Recognition to India’s Cultural and Spiritual Heritage
Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attended the ongoing Shiv Mahapuran Katha on Sunday at the Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur. He honored the renowned spiritual storyteller Pandit Shri Pradeep Mishra with a ceremonial stole and participated in the aarti of Lord Shiva, praying for the well-being, prosperity, and happiness of the people of the state.
Addressing the large gathering of devotees, CM Sharma said it was a matter of great fortune that the glorious tale of Lord Shiva was being narrated on the sacred land of Jaipur. He emphasized that Lord Shiva is revered in many forms—Kailashpati, Bholenath, and Vishwanath—and that sages, saints, and spiritual leaders continue to guide society through stories about His divine virtues.
The Chief Minister remarked that the blessings of Lord Shiva bring peace, prosperity, and positivity into life. He added that the Shiv Mahapuran is not just a religious text but a divine philosophy that provides purpose and depth to human life. “We are living in an era of Sanatan Dharma’s resurgence,” he stated, pointing to the majestic development of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain and the transformation of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi as living examples. He also cited the redevelopment of Kedarnath, Somnath, and Badrinath shrines as testament to this cultural revival, which has brought India’s spiritual heritage to the global stage.
Sharma also highlighted the massive gathering at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, where pilgrims from across the world came to take the holy dip, reflecting the grandeur and universal appeal of Sanatan Dharma.
Expressing joy at the strong presence of women devotees, he said Rajasthan has always been a land of strength and devotion. He praised the legacy of great women like Mata Pannadhay, the saint Meerabai, and Maa Amrita Devi, whose lives continue to inspire generations.
The CM lauded Pandit Pradeep Mishra for his unique ability to connect with the masses through the profound yet accessible narration of the Shiv Mahapuran. “His words have the power to deeply touch every listener’s heart,” he said, adding that such spiritual events should be regularly organized in Rajasthan to preserve and strengthen the state’s cultural, religious, and spiritual identity.
Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, MLA Shri Balmukundacharya, and other distinguished guests were also present at the event.
