In Mumbai Teachers’ Constituency Jagannath Motiram Abhyankar was declared the winner by securing 4,083 votes
Navi Mumbai :- The counting of votes for the annual election of the Mumbai Teachers’ Constituency of the Vidhan Parishad was conducted peacefully today at Agri Koli Sanskriti Bhavan in Nerul. A total of 14 tables were used for vote counting. Out of 12,000 voters, 11,598 votes were valid, while 402 votes were invalid. The fixed quota for winning was 5,800 votes.
At the end of the twelfth round, Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) candidate Jagannath Motiram Abhyankar was elected from the Mumbai Teachers’ Constituency by securing the highest number of 4,083 votes, announced Election Decision Officer and Divisional Commissioner P. Velarasu.
