Stakeholder Workshop on Chemicals, Dyes, Pesticides, Fertilizers, and Distilleries organized to promote Environmental Economy
Jaipur : On the occasion of World Environment Day-2025 , 5th june, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) has initiated a series of stakeholder workshops from 12 May to 30 May in Jaipur. The primary objective of these workshops is to raise awareness among industries and stakeholders about key environmental issues such as behavioral change, sustainable waste management, circular economy, air and water pollution control and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As part of this series, a dedicated workshop focused on the Chemicals, Dyes, Pesticides, Fertilizers, and Distilleries sectors was organized on 30th May at the RSPCB Headquarters, Jaipur. Officials from various Chemicals, Dyes, Pesticides, Fertilizers, and Distilleries related industries participated in the event.
The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Vishnu Dutt Purohit, Chief Environment Engineer, RSPCB. He emphasized the importance of adopting new technologies in production, storsge and transportation of Chemicals, Dyes, Pesticides, Fertilizers, and Distilleries to reduce pollution levels. These steps are crucial for mitigating the environmental impacts of industrial activities.
Mr. Susanta Kumar Jana, Professor, (Retd.) MNIT, delivered detailed presentations on the Environmental Pollution Abatement Trends Through Process modification and case History of selected Heavy Chemical Industries.
Mr. Abhijit Pathak, (Retd. Senior Scientist) CPCB delivered detailed presentations on the Online continuous emission/effluent monitoring system (OCEMS) and its benefits.
Mr. Rishabh Jain, Dy. Chief Inspector Factories and Boilers delivered detailed presentations on preventive measures to be adopted during operation of boilers to avoid any Accident.
During the programme, a pledge was also taken under the “Quality Bharat Mission,” reaffirming the commitment to sustainable practices and improved environmental quality. In the programme Officials from the concerned areas, Board Officers and Employees participated.
