Focus on Providing Educational Facilities for Quality Learning – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Baramati, Sept 2025: More than 1.5 lakh students are studying in various educational institutions in Baramati taluka. To ensure that these students receive quality education, emphasis is being placed on creating state-of-the-art educational facilities in the region. Against this backdrop, the necessary additional funds will be provided to enlarge the classrooms in the new building of the Zilla Parishad Primary School, said Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Ajit Pawar.

He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new building of the Zilla Parishad Primary School at Shardanagar, Malegaon Colony. Sub-Divisional Officer Vaibhav Navadkar, Zilla Parishad Executive Engineer Jitendra Memane, Group Development Officer Kishor Mane, Municipal Council Chief Officer Balaji Londhe, and other dignitaries were present.

Deputy CM Pawar said that the Malegaon area is a hub of educational institutions, and infrastructure is being developed here to further raise the standard of education. The safety of students is being given top priority. In addition, road beautification will also be carried out in the area considering its urban backdrop.

He added that because of the excellent educational facilities available in Baramati taluka, students from different parts of the state come here to study. Therefore, the government and local institutions are consistently striving to ensure that students receive the education they are entitled to.

Deputy CM Pawar also appealed to citizens to strictly follow traffic rules. He stressed that it is essential to maintain speed limits while driving and that both drivers and the public must observe traffic discipline.

Layout of the New Building

The total area of the school is 9,163 sq. ft., and the new building will include:

  • Principal’s and teachers’ rooms
  • 9 classrooms
  • 2 computer laboratories
  • Dining hall
  • Separate toilets for boys and girls
  • Stage
  • Ramp for differently-abled students
  • Security guard’s room
  • Parking space
  • Playground
  • Storage room
  • Water tank
  • Solar facilities

For this project, an expenditure of ₹2.61 crore has been sanctioned under the district annual plan.

On this occasion, Baramati Cooperative Bank President Sachin Satav, School Principal Balasaheb Jagtap, School Management Committee member Kalyan Pachangane, former Chairman of Malegaon Cooperative Sugar Factory Keshav Jagtap, and several other dignitaries were present in large numbers.
