Minister Laxmi Rajwade Inspects Temporary Causeway Construction on Gobari Stream
Reviews Progress, Directs Officials to Complete Work at the Earliest
Raipur, Sept 2025 – Women and Child Development Minister and Bhatgaon MLA, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, today inspected the construction work of a temporary causeway bridge being built over the Gobari stream, considered the lifeline of Bhaiyathan development block. She thoroughly reviewed the progress of the project and gave clear instructions to the Public Works (Bridge) Department officials to expedite the construction and ensure its timely completion.

During the inspection, Minister Rajwade interacted with the technical staff and responsible officers engaged in the project and provided necessary directions. She emphasized that this work is directly linked to public welfare and must be treated as the highest priority. She cautioned that any kind of negligence or delay would not be tolerated.
It is noteworthy that the bridge over Gobari stream was damaged two months ago due to heavy rainfall. As a result, thousands of villagers from over ten gram panchayats, including Khutrapara, Dabripara, Gangoti, and Bansapara, have been facing difficulties in commuting. Daily necessities, children’s education, and medical care for patients were severely affected, with villagers forced to take a detour of nearly 20 kilometers.

During her visit, Minister Rajwade also interacted with local villagers and assured them that the temporary causeway would be completed soon, restoring normal movement. She firmly instructed officials to maintain both the speed and quality of the work. Once completed, the temporary causeway bridge will restore traffic on the Dumaria–Gangoti road, bringing major relief to thousands of villagers.
