Jalgaon, Sept 2025 : Farmers whose houses and crops have been damaged due to excessive rainfall in Jamner, Neri, Chinchkheda villages and surrounding areas of the district will receive complete assistance from the government. This assurance was given by Water Resources and Disaster Management Minister Girish Mahajan. He was speaking while inspecting the rain-affected areas of Bhor Takke Nagar, Indiranagar, and Bazar Peth in Neri village of Jamner taluka, and Shindad and Satgaon villages in Pachora taluka.

Accompanying him on this occasion were MLA Kishor Patil, District Collector Ayush Prasad, Superintendent Engineer of the Public Works Department Prashant Sonawane, Jamner Tehsildar Nanasahab Aghale and others.

Minister Girish Mahajan said that this year the state has received heavy rainfall across many regions, and some parts of Jalgaon district have witnessed excessive rains. As a result, standing crops have suffered massive damage, and in some places water entered houses causing destruction of homes as well. Floods have also led to the death of livestock in many villages, resulting in considerable loss of cattle wealth. Relief operations are underway by the administration, and rescue work is being carried out with the help of NDRF teams. With the rain having subsided in the region, the situation is now under control. The administration has been instructed to conduct immediate surveys (panchnamas) of the losses in the affected areas.

While inspecting the flood-affected parts of Shindad, Sarve Bk., and Satgaon villages of Pachora taluka, Minister Mahajan interacted with local farmers and villagers, listened to their grievances and assured them that the government fully stands with them. He stated that compensation from the government for the damages will be provided very soon.

In Pimpragaon and Barkhedi circles of the taluka, excessive rainfall has been recorded. Around 6 to 7 villages including Gahule, Vadgaon Kade, Satgaon Dongari, Wadi, Shewale, and Vanegaon have faced flooding from rivers and streams. Approximately 350 to 400 families have been relocated to schools for safety. According to preliminary information provided by the local administration, around 400 cattle have perished in the villages of Shindad, Satgaon Dongari, Pimpri Kh., Prappa, Wadi Shewala, etc.

During this inspection visit, officials from the Revenue, Public Works, Health and other departments, along with local representatives, were present.
