CM Inspects Flood-Affected Areas in Solapur District
State Government Stands Firmly with Flood Victims; Will Provide All Possible Assistance – CM Devendra Fadnavis
Assurance to support every citizen affected by heavy rains and floods
Solapur, Sept 2025 : Heavy rains and floods have caused extensive damage in Solapur district, severely affecting crops, livestock, houses, and businesses. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the state government stands firmly with the flood-affected citizens during this crisis and will provide them with all possible assistance. He also appealed to the people to remain courageous in this difficult time.
CM Devendra Fadnavis visited the villages of Nimgav and Darphal Sina in Madha taluka to review the damage caused by the floods and interacted with the local residents. Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore, MP Dhairyasheel Mohite-Patil, MLAs Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil and Abhijeet Patil, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, former MP Ranjitsinh Nimbalkar, former MLA Ram Satpute, District Collector Kumar Ashirwad, Zilla Parishad CEO Kuldeep Jangam, Solapur Rural SP Atul Kulkarni, and other officials were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the site, CM Fadnavis said that the floods have caused severe damage to villagers’ lives and property. He assured that everyone who has suffered losses will receive government aid. In the recent cabinet meeting, an immediate relief fund of ₹2,000 crore was approved for the flood-hit people. Additional assistance will also be provided as needed. He added that, just like aid is extended during droughts, similar support will also be ensured in the case of excessive rains and wet drought conditions.
In Darphal village, massive damage occurred as the river overflowed, changed its course, and submerged a large part of the village. Water entered homes, damaging houses, food grains, fields, and livestock. The Chief Minister said the government will provide aid for agriculture, housing, and food grains, as well as for the restoration of roads, schools, farm paths, electricity, and other essential facilities. Separate assistance will also be provided to affected businesses.
At the start of his tour, CM Fadnavis visited Nimgav in Madha taluka to inspect the damage and listened to the grievances of the residents. He assured them that the government will extend all necessary support to help them recover from this crisis.
