Successful Cesarean Operation at CHC Mohla, Mother and Child Healthy

Raipur, Oct 2025 : The Community Health Center (CHC) in Mohla has achieved a remarkable milestone. The medical team at the center successfully performed a cesarean (C-section) operation on Kuleshwari, wife of Arjun, a pregnant woman from the village of Gidhali.

This critical surgery was carried out by a dedicated team comprising Gynecologist Dr. Arvind Bankar, Dr. Dilip Sharma, Dr. Seema Thakur, and Dr. S.R. Kovachi. The entire procedure was conducted safely, and both the mother and the newborn are in good health.

With the appointment of a gynecologist at CHC Mohla, pregnant women—especially those at high risk—will no longer need to travel to Rajnandgaon or private hospitals for delivery. The center now offers cesarean operations and comprehensive maternal check-up facilities locally, significantly strengthening maternal health services in the region.

This advancement will prove particularly beneficial for rural women who earlier had to travel approximately 150 kilometers from Aundhi to Rajnandgaon for delivery-related care.

The achievement ensures timely and safe childbirth for women in rural areas, providing them access to better healthcare facilities. Consequently, it is expected to help reduce maternal mortality rates in the region.
