Mines Department Jaipur Team Seizes 13 Dumpers Transporting Illegal Masonry Stone
Jaipur, Nov 2025 : In a major surprise operation late last night, the Jaipur team of the Mines Department seized 13 dumpers involved in the illegal transportation of masonry stone in the Neem Ka Thana and Khetri areas. The department discreetly formed a team of officers from outside the region under the leadership of Superintendent Mining Engineer (SME) Jaipur, Shri N. S. Shaktawat, and Vigilance Officer Shri Pratap Meena, executing the large-scale midnight action. Illegal mining of iron ore in the name of masonry stone has also been brought under investigation.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has been serious about curbing illegal mining activities and has consistently directed strict action during review meetings. Principal Secretary, Mines, Shri T. Ravikant, has emphasized the need for surprise action through teams of officers from different locations to counter illegal mining. Considering the complaints of illegal mining in these areas, the department carried out the surprise operation. Mines Director Shri Mahaveer Prasad Meena has constituted multiple teams for sudden inspections.
Superintendent Mining Engineer Jaipur, Shri N. S. Shaktawat, and Vigilance Officer Shri Pratap Meena informed that during late-night patrolling in Khetri and Neem Ka Thana areas of Jhunjhunu, the team seized 13 dumpers illegally transporting masonry stone in Rela, Neem Ka Thana, and handed over the vehicles along with the mineral to the Paota Police Station. The team has also initiated an investigation into suspected illegal iron ore mining being carried out under the guise of masonry stone in Kalakota, Neem Ka Thana. Prior to this action, the team had also conducted midnight patrolling in Mehra Area, Jamalpura, Tyonda, Ramkunwarpura, and Sihod in Khetri.
The action team of SME Jaipur Shri N. S. Shaktawat and SME Vigilance Jaipur included Mining Engineer Alwar Shri Manoj Sharma, Assistant Mining Engineer Dausa Shri L. C. Meena, Jaipur’s Shri Subhash Dangi, along with 9 foremen and 21 home guards.
