Linking Villages to Development and Self-Reliance for State Prosperity: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasised that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is steadfastly committed to the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers and women of the state. Villages are being linked to development and self-reliance for overall prosperity. Gaupalan is being promoted to increase farmers’ incomes, and several farmer-friendly decisions have been taken, including ongoing benefit payments under the Bhavantar Scheme. Ensuring water reaches every village and field is a core commitment of the government.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that, as part of the ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan’ Campaign, extensive efforts have been made to preserve water sources statewide. The government is working towards developing a model ‘Vrindavan Village’ in every gram panchayat. Kagpur village in Shamshabad stands as a model of progress achieved through public cooperation. The village has now received a new weekly haat bazaar with 128 shops, which will serve as a major trading hub for surrounding communities. The Chief Minister also declared the establishment of a water park under the MP Tourism Board at Kaghpur and addressed a public gathering in Vidisha district’s Kaghpur. Extensive work is being done for water conservation and resource development; the Ken-Betwa project will meet all irrigation needs in Vidisha. All arrangements (paved roads, cremation grounds, etc.) will be completed in every gram panchayat by 2026, leaving no aspect of development incomplete.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the pivotal role played by Sandipani Schools in the education sector. Through the’ Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana’, animal husbandry is being boosted. There will be no deficiency in roads, health, power, education or other basic facilities. The model gram panchayat of Kaghpur features all amenities, with special mention of Shri Saudan Singh’s land donation for the haat bazaar.

Farmers Receive Fair Prices Through Bhavantar Yojana

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the ₹5.75 crore haat bazaar under the Model Village Scheme in Kaghpur, handing over keys for shops to two beneficiaries as a symbolic gesture. The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Poojan for 135 newly approved community halls worth ₹34 crore in Vidisha. He emphasised that the government is ensuring fair prices for farmers’ produce through the Bhavantar Scheme, which is helping accelerate development across all sectors.

Social Initiatives and Sensitivity

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav mentioned the ‘Rahveer Yojana’, a scheme introduced to deliver rapid assistance to road accident victims. ‘PM Shri Air Ambulance’ services are also in operation. The government is preserving the pride and heritage of Sanatan culture, developing all sites associated with Lord Krishna’s life into pilgrimage centres and creating Gita Bhavans alongside the development of shrines dedicated to Lord Rama and Krishna. The Chief Minister distributed benefits under various welfare schemes, announcing a grand celebration for Geeta Jayanti this year.

Interaction with Ladli Bahanas, Lakhpati Didis and Gaupalaks

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with Ladli Behnas, Lakhpati Didis and Gaupalaks. The Ladli Behnas expressed gratitude for the monthly sum of ₹1,500 they received. Dr. Yadav learned about the work being done by Lakhpati Didis and informed livestock owners about schemes operating for their benefit. He also planted a mango sapling at Kaghpur Bagiya, promoting the message of environmental conservation, and reviewed the scenic pond at Kaghpur Park.

First-Ever Three-Storey Panchayat Buildings: Minister Shri Patel

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel announced that three-storey buildings will be constructed for the Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat, and Zila Panchayat under the Rural Development Department. These buildings will be designed for stability and strength. Approval of ₹6,000 crore from the Fifth Finance Commission is being provided to the panchayats, with a target to complete paved roads and cremation grounds in all panchayats by December 2026. Even the smallest villages are being connected by paved roads. Farmers are benefiting from the Bhavantar Yojana and Samman Nidhi.

National Vice President Shri Saudan Singh noted that Kaghpur, once a small village of just 450 people without access to drinking water, now has proper educational and potable water facilities, along with a newly developed weekly market. The event was attended by the Animal Husbandry Minister and Vidisha district in-charge Shri Lakhan Patel, MP Smt. Lata Wankhede, MLAs Shri Suryaprakash Meena, Shri Harisingh Raghuvanshi, Shri Harisingh Sapre, Shri Umakant Sharma, Shri Mukesh Tandon, former MLA Premnarayan Sharma, Zilla Panchayat President Smt. Geeta Raghuvanshi and a large number of public representatives and villagers.
