Andhra Pradesh Offers Unmatched Investment Advantage, Says CM Chandrababu Naidu at Davos

Amaravati, Jan 2026 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asserted that there is no better investment destination than Andhra Pradesh, inviting global industrialists to visit the state and personally experience its progressive policies, robust infrastructure, and investor-friendly governance. Addressing global business leaders at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, the Chief Minister said investment decisions should be taken only after witnessing the state’s speed of doing business and policy implementation on the ground.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) session titled “India at the Centre: The Geography of Growth – The Andhra Pradesh Advantage,” where he highlighted the state’s growing prominence as a key driver of India’s economic expansion.

Sharing his message on social media platform X, Naidu said he informed industry leaders that Andhra Pradesh is not merely an investment destination but a strategic advantage for businesses seeking long-term and sustainable growth. He underlined that the state’s governance model, infrastructure readiness, and technology-driven approach make it a preferred hub for global investors.

According to an official release, Naidu stated that India is poised to emerge as a global power by 2047 and that Andhra Pradesh will play a leading role in this transformation. He noted that the state has attracted nearly 25 per cent of the total foreign direct investment (FDI) that has come into the country, reflecting renewed confidence among global investors.

The session at Davos focused on the vast investment opportunities available in Andhra Pradesh across sectors such as green energy, advanced technology, clean fuels, digital infrastructure, logistics, and manufacturing. Naidu elaborated on the state government’s policies and vision for sector-specific growth, citing initiatives in green ammonia production, major technology investments including Google’s interest, and efforts to strengthen the Andhra Pradesh brand image globally.

He explained that the state is working on ambitious infrastructure projects such as Space City, expansion of ports, development of airports, and enhanced highway connectivity to support industrial growth. Andhra Pradesh’s geographical advantages, including its 1,054-kilometre-long coastline, extensive port network, and improving air connectivity, were highlighted as critical enablers for trade and logistics-led development.

Naidu said the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is committed to providing comprehensive support to investors, ensuring timely clearances, policy stability, and continuous engagement. He also spoke about the growing role of drones in key sectors such as agriculture and healthcare, revealing plans to launch a drone ambulance service from Andhra Pradesh in 2026.

In the agriculture sector, the Chief Minister announced that the state is working towards a target of bringing 50 lakh acres under natural farming over the next three to four years. He said this initiative would not only ensure sustainable agriculture but also enhance farmers’ incomes and environmental resilience.

Reflecting on his long association with the World Economic Forum, Naidu said he has been attending Davos for decades and finds immense value in interacting with global industrialists and experts. “Every time I come to Davos, I learn new ideas, understand global trends, and gain insights into technological and sectoral changes. These interactions help us formulate forward-looking policies and transform Andhra Pradesh into a truly business-friendly state,” he said.

He further noted that the emerging knowledge economy is set to reshape India’s economic system, leading to large-scale wealth creation. Naidu emphasised that Indians, particularly the Telugu people, are at the forefront of adopting new technologies and innovation. “Only by effectively utilising technology can we achieve extraordinary results,” he said.

Highlighting India’s demographic advantage, the Chief Minister said the country has a youth power unmatched by any other nation and is currently guided by strong and capable leadership. He pointed out that while it was once difficult to attract industrialists to Andhra Pradesh, the situation has changed dramatically.

“Today, the achievements of the Telugu people and the strong Andhra Pradesh brand have become positive and powerful factors. Global investors now see the state as a land of opportunity, innovation, and growth,” Naidu said, reiterating his invitation to industry leaders to partner with Andhra Pradesh in its journey towards becoming a global economic powerhouse.
