World Economic Forum is Important Platform for India’s Economic Strength : CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the delegation is travelling to Davos with the clear objective of generating employment for youth, ensuring that products reach markets efficiently and strengthening Madhya Pradesh economically. He said that the guiding principle of these efforts is to make the state prosperous, as Madhya Pradesh offers diverse investment opportunities. He emphasised the need to invite leading global entrepreneurs to implement advanced technologies and underlined that collective participation is essential for employment-oriented initiatives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed media representatives on Tuesday in New Delhi before departing for Davos to attend the World Economic Forum meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described the ‘World Economic Forum’ as an excellent platform for strengthening India’s economy and said that Madhya Pradesh’s participation in such a global forum would be significant and impactful. He stated that organic agriculture is a major sector with extensive business potential across food and allied industries. From cotton to several other sectors, there are wide-ranging opportunities for growth in trade and industry. These opportunities will be translated into tangible outcomes.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state offers comprehensive investment opportunities. He emphasised the importance of encouraging industry to adopt better technologies, promoting employment-generating activities, and focusing on the organic agriculture sector, which spans multiple industries from food products to allied domains. Beyond cotton production and textile manufacturing, several other sectors also present strong prospects for the expansion of trade and commerce.
Opportunity for Every State to Progress
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has secured the fourth position globally and is now moving decisively towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. In this changing global landscape, every state has golden opportunities to move forward. He added that other states should also participate in global forums such as the World Economic Forum, which provides extensive opportunities to attract industrial investment.
30 per cent of GIS Proposals Implemented on the Ground
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Global Investors Summit 2025, held in Bhopal last year, has yielded encouraging results. Of the investments received by Madhya Pradesh from within the country and abroad, nearly 30 per cent have already been implemented on the ground. He recalled that on December 25, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth over ₹2 lakh crore at the Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit held in Gwalior. In total, industrial development projects worth ₹8.5 lakh crore have reached the implementation stage, with further work continuing, reflecting the strong growth trajectory of Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also stated that the Government of Madhya Pradesh has dedicated the year 2026 to the prosperity of the state’s farmers. He emphasised that the state holds immense potential in agriculture and allied industries and expressed confidence that Madhya Pradesh will emerge as a leading state in food processing, fisheries production, horticulture, and dairy production.
