Action Taken on Collector Korba’s Orders Over Irregularities in Paddy Procurement
Raipur : Following irregularities in paddy procurement, Collector Korba ordered action against Committee Manager Rameshwar Prasad Anant and Procurement In-Charge Hitendra Kumar for the recovery of ₹60.53 lakh and criminal proceedings.
A physical inspection conducted by the revenue department, led by Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Rohit Singh, Tehsildar Deepka Amit Kerketa, and other officials at Akharapali Paddy Procurement Center in Katghora, revealed a shortfall of 1,952.80 quintals of paddy, valued at ₹60,53,680. The verification also found weight discrepancies in 30-35 sacks, confirming irregularities. The investigation team documented the findings, seized relevant documents, and initiated recovery and legal proceedings against the responsible officials.
