Police Should Treat Tourists with Sensitivity to Create a Tourist-Friendly and Safe Environment in Rajasthan: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari
Jaipur : A meeting on the topic of tourist safety was held on Thursday at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, with the participation of Tourism Secretary Ravi Jain via video conference. The meeting discussed key points related to the strengthening of the Tourist Assistance Force.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari instructed during the meeting that in order to build a tourist-friendly and safe environment in Rajasthan, the police must behave sensitively towards tourists and adhere strictly to safety standards.
She emphasized that Rajasthan holds immense potential in tourism. By focusing on improving facilities and ensuring safety for tourists, the state will undoubtedly see an increase in the number of visitors.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister discussed and issued necessary directives on several topics including: deployment of the Tourist Assistance Force at tourist sites, resolving incidents and problems faced by tourists in the current scenario, installing metal detectors for special checking at ticketing and entry points of tourist locations, blacklisting of tour operators and hotel owners repeatedly involved in fraud, and the need for police to behave with sensitivity towards tourists coming from outside the state.
She also gave instructions regarding the supervision of tourist police stations and deputation of state police personnel for this purpose.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Anand Kumar Tripathi, Additional Director (Development); Mr. Lalit Kumar, Special Officer to the Deputy Chief Minister; Mr. Upendra Singh Shekhawat, Deputy Director, TRC Jaipur; Mr. Vijay Sehra, Deputy Director (TAF) Jaipur; and Mr. Man Singh Rathore, Coordinator (TAF) Jaipur.
