CM Bhajanlal Sharma Conducts Extensive Inspection of Jaipur City, Reviews Rain-Related Situation – Orders Immediate Road Repairs and Drainage Solutions
Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conducted an extensive two-and-a-half-hour inspection of various areas in Jaipur city on Wednesday evening to assess the situation arising from continuous rainfall. He stopped at B-2 Bypass Road, Sanganer, Sumer Nagar, Surajmal Circle, Muhana Mandi, and Chauradiya Petrol Pump, instructing officials to take prompt action to resolve issues related to waterlogging, damaged roads, potholes, and the drainage system.
At B-2 Bypass Road, CM Sharma inspected the Dravyavati River and directed the trimming of dense trees and repairs to manhole covers on drains. He also interacted with residents and children in nearby slum areas, instructing officials to ensure proper water drainage in low-lying areas and to arrange food and drinking water for residents in case of emergencies.
Later, at the camp office in Sanganer, he met with local residents to gather information about waterlogged areas in the city. At Muhana Mandi Junction, he reviewed the situation and directed officials to proceed with the construction of a traffic circle at the intersection. He further ordered the immediate repair of damaged roads at Maharaja Surajmal Circle and Kesarnagar Junction.

Speaking to the media, CM Sharma said the state government is determined to ensure that citizens do not face any difficulties due to the rain-related situation. He said officials have been directed to remain on alert and arrangements for food, drinking water, and shelter are being made for affected people across the state. He appealed to residents to avoid entering waterlogged areas.
During the inspection, CM Sharma also instructed officials to expedite ongoing development works in the Sanganer area. At Chauradiya Petrol Pump Junction, he reviewed the progress of the upcoming elevated road from Sanganer Police Station to Malpura Gate and directed authorities to accelerate construction. He also sought feedback directly from the public during his visit.
Senior officials from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation, and departments of Energy, Public Works, and Public Health Engineering were present during the inspection.
