State to Receive 5.60 Lakh MT Urea in Coming One and a Half Months : CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh has secured its position among the top three states in the country in terms of capital expenditure during the first quarter of the current financial year. According to CAG data, 16 states recorded an increase in capital expenditure (CapEx) compared to the previous year. Gujarat achieved a growth of 65%, Uttar Pradesh 42% and Madhya Pradesh 41%. CM Dr. Yadav said, “This has been MP’s best-ever performance in year-on-year growth. The Chief Minister congratulated members of the Council of Ministers on this achievement while addressing them before the Cabinet meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further informed that during his recent meeting with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi, he apprised him of the state’s ongoing development works and invited him to inaugurate the Bhopal Metro Train and address a mega Kisan Sammelan in the coming days. The Prime Minister is likely to attend both programs.
Exports Grow by 6% Driven by Pharmaceuticals, Engineering Goods, and Soy Products
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that in the financial year 2024–25, Madhya Pradesh achieved its highest-ever exports worth ₹66,218 crore, marking a 6% increase. This growth was primarily driven by rising exports of pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, and soy products. At the national level, the state’s ranking in exports has improved from 15th to 11th position.
‘Pradhanmantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’ to Boost Industrial Activities in the State
Under the leadership of CM Dr. Yadav, the Cabinet expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi for implementing the ‘Pradhanmantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’. The Chief Minister said that under the scheme, youth employed in the private sector will receive ₹15,000 from the government, benefiting 3.5 crore youth across the country. The scheme will also boost industrial activities in the state. He added that this Diwali, the nation will receive a major gift in the form of new-generation GST reforms, which will reduce taxes and make daily essentials cheaper.
Innovations in Independence Day Programs Appreciated
The Chief Minister took feedback from ministers regarding innovations introduced in the Independence Day celebrations. For the first time, the state-level program was broadcast live through LED screens in all districts. The Chief guests highlighted development works and progress under various schemes over the past 18–20 months in district-level programs. The Chief Minister directed that district-wise books on development works and schemes be published and formally released through special programs.
State Expects 5.60 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Urea in Next 1.5 Months
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that the state has a total storage of 15.60 lakh metric tonnes of urea, of which 13.92 lakh metric tonnes have already been distributed to farmers, with 1.68 lakh metric tonnes remaining. Due to an increase of about 5 lakh hectares in maize cultivation, demand for urea has risen. The state is expected to receive an additional 5.60 lakh metric tonnes within the next one and a half months.
Lord Mahakal’s Processions Based on Unique Themes
The Chief Minister said that this year, Lord Mahakal’s processions were organised with innovative themes. While the first procession began with Vedic chants, subsequent ones highlighted folk culture, heritage, and tourism. Artists from the tribal regions of the state participated enthusiastically. During the royal procession, flowers collected with public participation from across the city were showered from a helicopter.
Promotion of Swadeshi
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the current global context, Prime Minister Shri Modi’s determination to build an economically strong and self-reliant India serves as an inspiration for all. He highlighted that the foundation stone of the BEML modern rail coach factory, laid recently at Umaria village in Raisen district, is a major gift to the state and an important step towards the Swadeshi campaign. Similarly, the PM Mitra Park in Dhar district will provide a new “farm-to-foreign” direction to the textile industry of Madhya Pradesh.
