Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Visits Munsiyari, Interacts Warmly with Citizens and Security Personnel
Munsiyari, Oct 2025 : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Munsiyari on a one-day tour, where he interacted warmly with local residents and security personnel. During the visit, he also reviewed various development projects and reiterated that public service and border security are the true identity of Uttarakhand.
Upon his arrival at the Munsiyari Helipad (Government Girls Inter College, G.G.I.C.), Chief Minister Dhami was accorded a warm welcome by District Magistrate Ashish Kumar Bhatgain, who presented him with a bouquet. The Chief Minister was also given a Guard of Honour by the police contingent.
Following the ceremonial welcome, Chief Minister Dhami greeted the large gathering of women, local residents, and community members who had assembled to receive him. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the affection and unwavering support shown by the people of the region.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s goal is to ensure that the light of development reaches the last person and that residents of the border areas have access to all basic amenities and infrastructure. He assured the people that the state government remains firmly committed to the holistic development of border regions.
Later, the Chief Minister visited the 14th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at the Munsiyari post, where he was accorded another Guard of Honour. During his interaction with the ITBP personnel, he praised their dedication and sacrifice, saying, “It is because of your discipline, devotion, and sacrifice that our nation remains safe.” He extended best wishes to all ITBP officers and jawans on behalf of the state government.
Following this, Chief Minister Dhami held a meeting with local public representatives, social workers, and citizens, discussing in detail the ongoing development initiatives, public grievances, and infrastructure needs of the region. He directed officials to expedite public welfare works and ensure prompt redressal of local issues.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also reunited with some of his college friends, sharing fond memories and taking selfies as keepsakes. He inquired about the well-being of their families and conveyed his warm wishes.
The Chief Minister’s visit created a wave of enthusiasm in the Munsiyari region. Local residents expressed that Dhami’s cordial and people-oriented visit served as a source of inspiration and encouragement for those living in the remote border areas.
