Complete Road Construction Projects Announced in the Budget Within the Stipulated Time: Deputy CM Diya Kumari

Jaipur : Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari chaired a review meeting on Sunday at Ganesan Hotel in Hindaun, Karauli. The meeting focused on the Tourism Department, Public Works Department (PWD), Women and Child Development Department, and the Child Rights Department.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy CM emphasized that all ongoing development projects in the district must be completed on time with high quality standards. While reviewing the works of the Public Works Department, she directed that proposals for new non-patchable roads should be sent promptly to the competent authority for approval. She also instructed that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for bridges and other related works be prepared quickly to speed up development efforts.

Deputy CM Kumari issued specific directions to Superintending Engineer Mr. Jaylal Meena to ensure that the four-lane road project announced in the budget is completed within the stipulated time. She also directed that roads damaged during the monsoon last year should be repaired immediately.

During the review of the Women and Child Development Department, she instructed officials to send proposals promptly for Anganwadi centers that donors (Bhamashahs) wish to adopt. She also directed improvements in shade, drinking water, electricity, and sanitation facilities at these centers. Additionally, she reviewed various schemes, including the PM Matru Vandana Yojana, through the Nutrition Tracker.

Addressing the Tourism Department, the Deputy CM instructed the Assistant Director of Tourism to initiate actions related to recent announcements without delay and to prepare proposals after consulting public representatives, keeping in mind the tourism potential in the district, and forward them to the appropriate authorities.

Present at the meeting were Additional District Collector Hemraj Parewal, Karauli MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar, Sapotra MLA Hansraj Gurjar, Superintending Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department P.C. Meena, Additional Superintendent of Police (Hindaun), and other officials and staff.
