Devangan Community Plays Key Role in Chhattisgarh’s Development: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

CM Appeals to Devangan Community to Join Hands in Building a Developed Chhattisgarh

Raipur : Addressing the grand gathering of the Devangan community at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai praised the community as a hardworking and prosperous one. He acknowledged the vital contribution of the Devangan community in Chhattisgarh’s progress, especially through advanced farming practices and entrepreneurship. He noted that the community is not only leading in agriculture and trade but is also educated, organized, and influential across sectors such as education, culture, arts, agriculture, and commerce. The Chief Minister emphasized that the Devangan community must play a key role in realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh.

Highlighting the rapid national progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, CM Sai said, “Modi’s guarantee means promises fulfilled.” He mentioned that within just one and a half years, the government has delivered on most of its commitments. One of the first major decisions was the approval of over 18 lakh housing units across Chhattisgarh. For women empowerment, the government launched the Mahtari Vandan scheme, offering financial support that has enabled women to become self-reliant through activities like tailoring, embroidery, and vegetable farming, thus increasing their income.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the state-wide Sushasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival), organized to address citizens’ concerns and suggestions. During this outreach, ministers and senior officials visited people across remote forest and plain areas to listen and act on their needs. CM Sai personally toured all 33 districts of the state, overseeing on-ground implementation of various schemes and collecting public feedback. Over 41 lakh applications were received across three phases of the festival, and most have been resolved. He declared that the government has successfully established good governance by eliminating corruption and ensuring equal opportunities for all.

CM Sai further highlighted strides made in administrative transparency and digital governance. Now, land mutation is processed immediately after registration, offering much-needed relief to the public. Most government services have moved online to curb corruption.

He also shared that Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy is receiving praise nationwide. The state has attracted investment proposals worth over ₹5.5 lakh crore. Construction of a semiconductor plant has already begun in Naya Raipur. In addition to industrial development, the government is focusing on skill development for local youth, thereby enhancing employment opportunities.

The event was also addressed by Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan and MLA Shri Kiran Dev. In his welcome speech, State President of the Devangan community Shri Pradeep Devangan highlighted the goals of the Mahakumbh. The Devangan Mahakumbh souvenir book was released on the occasion. MLAs Shri Moti Lal Sahu and Shri Purandar Mishra, along with numerous community leaders and members, attended the grand event.
