Naxalism Will Be Eradicated by March 2026: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Bastar advancing on the path of peace and development, says Chief Minister during heartfelt interaction with youth from remote Bijapur villages

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has asserted that Naxalism will be rooted out completely by March 2026, stating that his government is committed to establishing peace and development in the tribal-dominated Bastar region. Addressing a group of 96 young men and women from remote villages of Bijapur district—visiting the state capital Raipur for the first time—he said, “Through willpower, compassion, and inclusive policies, we have initiated a new beginning for Bastar. The confidence of its youth is our greatest inspiration, and together, we will build a new Bastar.”

During the interaction at his official residence, the Chief Minister warmly welcomed the youth from the Niyad Nella Nar scheme and encouraged them to become active participants in the region’s transformation. He highlighted how this government initiative is opening new avenues of peace and development in conflict-affected areas. “With your involvement, we will take Bastar and Chhattisgarh forward. The scheme is changing the face of villages and helping youth lead self-reliant and dignified lives,” Sai said.

The Chief Minister also affirmed that the government, with the support of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is determined to eliminate Maoism by March 2026. “Maoists oppose development in your region, but we will remove every obstacle in the path of progress,” he said. Sai praised the natural beauty of Bastar—its lush forests, waterfalls, and fertile lands—and urged the youth to focus on agriculture and education for a prosperous future.

He stressed the need to promote farming and assured that efforts are underway to ensure irrigation facilities reach even the remotest areas. Highlighting cultural initiatives like the Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum, Sai noted that thousands of youth, women, and children have participated, sending a strong message to the world that Bastar is moving towards a new era.

“Today, the people of Bastar have shown they want peace, not violence. The land of Bastar has always symbolized courage, patience, and pride. Now, together, we will take it further on the path of development and prosperity,” he stated.

The Chief Minister emphasized that through various government schemes, skill development programs, sports, and education, every youth would be given new opportunities. He called upon them to join the mainstream and become agents of change for a secure, strong, and prosperous Bastar.
