Belgium’s Tomorrowland festival has been marred by a devastating Conflagrations days before the event.

The main stage at Tomorrowland, one of Europe’s biggest electronic music festivals, was “severely damaged” after it went up in flames just two days before the festival was due to start. Nobody was injured during the incident in Belgium, organisers confirmed, and the festival will still go ahead over the next two weekends with the focus now on “finding solutions” to replace the torched stage.

The cause of the fire was not given, but was believed to be accidental. Around 100,000 people are expected to descend upon the town of Boom where the festival is taking place, with many attendees expected to camp onsite. The renowned celebrities include David Guetta, Charlotte de Witte and Armin Van Buuren, with the majority of acts split between the now-torched main stage and the nearby freedom stage.

In an update on Thursday, organisers said: “It’s impossible to put into words what we’re feeling. The Orbyz Mainstage of Tomorrowland Belgium 2025, a creation born from pure passion, imagination, and dedication, is no more. This wasn’t just a stage. It was a living, breathing world”. They added: “We spent the night working on possible solutions for the Mainstage area. No other parts of the festival venue, stages or areas were impacted”.
