Traditional Games and Cultural Events Shine at Teej Festival 2025 at Bikaner House

Jaipur : The Teej Festival and Handicrafts Fair 2025, currently underway at Bikaner House in New Delhi, has become a lively showcase of Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage, drawing large crowds with its traditional games and competitions.

On Thursday, several vibrant events including Mehendi competitions, Ramp Walk, Rajasthani folk dance, and singing contests were organized. These cultural contests drew enthusiastic participation from people of all ages, transforming the venue into a celebration of colors, tradition, and joy.

In the Mehendi competition, participants from across Delhi showcased their intricate henna designs. Invited women guests also had beautiful Mehendi applied. A jury selected the winners: Seema, Iratika Khan, and Anshika Shukla, who were each awarded certificates and prizes.

The Ramp Walk competition was another major highlight, with both men and women participating enthusiastically, dressed in traditional and colorful attire. Their elegance and confidence uplifted the spirits of the audience. Bharat Vishnoi, Vikas, and Ashish were declared winners in the men’s category, while Vijayshree Sharma, Aarti, and Akshita were the winners in the women’s category. They were honored with certificates and consolation prizes.

Adding further cultural depth to the celebration, Rajasthani folk dance and singing competitions were held. Participants showcased their talent through energetic dance performances and melodious singing, all set to traditional Rajasthani music.

Additional Resident Commissioner Mrs. Anju Omprakash shared that a variety of cultural programs will be organized daily throughout this week-long festival to keep the visitors engaged and entertained. She also announced that a grand Teej procession will be held on Sunday, where hundreds of women in traditional attire will participate to worship Teej Mata and offer festive greetings.

The Teej Festival 2025, which runs daily from 11 AM to 9 PM until July 30, was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary and Principal Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan, Mr. Sudhansh Pant.
