Conclusion of the Kawad Yatra in the Presence of the Deputy Chief Minister
Hingoli, Aug 2025 : The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, is providing substantial funds for the development works of Hingoli district and is tirelessly working for the welfare of the poor, farmers, and laborers, stated Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the concluding ceremony of the Kawad Yatra.
He assured that schemes such as “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” (Chief Minister’s Beloved Sister Scheme), “Mukhyamantri Namo Shetkari Sanman Nidhi Yojana” (Farmer Honor Fund Scheme), and “Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan” (Youth Work Training Scheme), which are being implemented for the common people and farmers, will not be discontinued due to lack of funds.
The concluding program of the Kawad Yatra festival, organized by the Hingoli Kawad Yatra Mahotsav Committee, was held at Gandhi Chowk. Deputy Chief Minister Shinde addressed the gathering on this occasion.
Present on the dais were MLA Hemant Patil, MLA Santosh Bangar, MLA Baburao Kadam-Kohlikar, and former MP Subhash Wankhede.
Deputy CM Shinde mentioned that MLA Santosh Bangar has been organizing the Kawad Yatra since 2016 and has been attending it for the past three years. He noted that the number of Shiva devotees participating in the Yatra increases every year. He informed that in the past two and a half years, a significant fund of ₹2,600 crore has been allocated for various development works in the district and assured that more funds would be provided in the future.
He appealed to the tribal brothers, who were protesting in front of the District Collector’s office with various demands, to withdraw their agitation. He assured them that their demands would be presented to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the state cabinet meeting and efforts would be made to resolve their issues.
Highlighting the significance of the Kawad Yatra, he said that this spiritual journey, which started in 2016 in the land of saints, is no longer limited to Hingoli. He praised MLA Bangar for his efforts in promoting culture, tradition, and religion through the Yatra. He emphasized that the Yatra symbolizes spiritual heritage, sacrifice, dedication, and unity.
He also lauded the soldiers of the nation for the successful execution of “Operation Sindoor.”
