Launch of Chief Minister’s Samruddh Panchayati Raj Abhiyan by Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare
Raigad, Sept 2025 : To ensure the sustainable development of villages, the Chief Minister’s Samruddh Panchayati Raj Abhiyan has been announced and will be implemented in the district from September 17 to December 31, 2025. The campaign was inaugurated by Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare at the Gram Sabha organized by the Palspe Gram Panchayat. She interacted with villagers and lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the initiative.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer Neha Bhosale, Panvel Block Development Officer Sameer Vatharkar, Mandal Officers, Gram Sevaks, women from self-help groups, and a large number of villagers were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Aditi Tatkare said that the Samruddh Panchayati Raj Abhiyan is being launched across the state from today. She urged gram panchayat office bearers, officials, and villagers to work together to achieve holistic development of villages and deliver the best performance. Under this campaign, the state government has announced competitions among gram panchayats in various development works with prizes worth lakhs of rupees. Gram panchayats will receive awards of ₹15 lakh for first place, ₹12 lakh for second place, and ₹8 lakh for third place. Separate prizes will also be awarded at the divisional, district, and taluka levels. The initiative will be implemented across all gram panchayats in the state between September 17 and December 31, 2025.
The objectives of the campaign include building good governance-oriented and empowered panchayats at the village level, water conservation, creation of clean and green villages, effective implementation of government schemes, increasing public participation, and encouraging innovative initiatives. Expressing her hopes, she said that Palspe Gram Panchayat should secure a place among the top five in the state. She further mentioned that, being located along the Mumbai-Goa highway, this gram panchayat has immense potential for developmental works. She emphasized the importance of efforts by Block Development Officers in this regard.
Under this campaign, district councils, panchayat samitis, and gram panchayats performing excellently will be honored with awards from the state government. The Minister also expressed hope that at least three gram panchayats from Raigad district should receive state-level awards during the presentation ceremony of the Samruddh Panchayati Raj Abhiyan.
The state-level inauguration of the campaign was carried out by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This state-level inauguration was broadcast at the Palspe Gram Panchayat via teleconferencing. Minister Tatkare also visited various stalls set up by self-help groups showcasing different initiatives and appreciated their efforts.
