Government Striving to Reduce Logistics Costs to Support the Industrial Sector – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

‘XSIO Industrial and Logistics Park’ Groundbreaking Ceremony Held by the Chief Minister

A ₹3,000-crore agreement has been signed between XSIO Industry, Blackstone Company, and the State Industries Department.
The state government has introduced a logistics policy that supports industry and is committed to improving connectivity and reducing logistics costs, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today. He expressed confidence that through XSIO’s projects, Nagpur will move rapidly towards becoming the logistics hub of India. The signing of a ₹3,000-crore MoU for investments across various regions of the state took place in the presence of the Chief Minister.

At Wadgaon near the Samruddhi Mahamarg, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis performed the foundation-laying ceremony of the XSIO Industrial and Logistics Park. Present on the occasion were MLAs Sameer Meghe and Dr. Ashish Deshmukh, Industries Department Secretary Dr. P. Anbalagan, XSIO Managing Director Ashish Agarwal, Blackstone Company representative Tuhin Parekh, and others.


Nagpur Moving Toward Becoming India’s Logistics Hub

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the British had declared Nagpur as the Zero Mile Point, the geographical center of India. Now, he said, Nagpur is moving forward on the path of becoming a national logistics hub. The XSIO Industrial and Logistics Park will accelerate this process.
Nagpur is also progressing in the civil aviation sector, with national and international flights operating daily from the city.
The Samruddhi Mahamarg has further strengthened industrial connectivity.


₹700-Crore World-Class Logistics Park Already Built; Second Phase Worth ₹1,100 Crore Launched

XSIO has already developed a world-class logistics park worth ₹700 crore along the Samruddhi Mahamarg. Today, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the second phase, which will be developed on 105 acres with an investment of ₹1,100 crore.
Together, both phases will generate nearly 10,000 employment opportunities, the Chief Minister said.

He added that the state government is committed to providing all necessary facilities to ensure that industrial goods reach domestic and global destinations efficiently. He also informed that work is underway to connect the Igatpuri region on the Samruddhi corridor to Vadhavan Port, which will greatly boost logistics.

The Chief Minister further said that the government is integrating logistics and blockchain technology to bring positive transformation to the logistics sector. With XSIO planning to invest ₹5,000 crore in Maharashtra, it will significantly contribute to the state’s economic growth.


Investment Commitment in Maharashtra Rises to ₹8,000 Crore

In the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, XSIO Industry and Blackstone Company signed a ₹3,000-crore investment agreement with the Industries Department for various regions of the state.
Earlier, a ₹5,000-crore MoU had been signed with the state government. With this new agreement, the total investment committed in Maharashtra has increased to ₹8,000 crore.

Earlier, XSIO Managing Director Ashish Agarwal and Blackstone’s Tuhin Parekh expressed their views and conveyed their commitment to the project.
