Delhi Capitals Unveil New Jersey Ahead of IPL 2026 Season

New Delhi, March 2026 : Delhi Capitals have revealed their new jersey for the upcoming 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), set to begin on March 28, 2026. The franchise has retained its signature red and blue colours while introducing a refreshed design that reflects a bold new identity.

The updated jersey features a striking central pattern of red and blue stripes running vertically, symbolising energy and dynamism. According to the franchise, the design draws inspiration from the fierce tiger spirit, representing both the team’s aggressive approach and the vibrant character of the city of Delhi.

The launch was marked by a promotional video featuring women’s team captain Jemimah Rodrigues and men’s team skipper Axar Patel, who jointly unveiled the jersey. The video also included middle-order batter Nitish Rana, one of the key additions to the squad during the IPL 2026 auction, capturing the team’s renewed energy and unity.

Delhi Capitals CEO Sunil Gupta said the jersey represents more than just a design change. “This jersey celebrates our city, our identity, and the fearless mindset we bring to the field,” he said, highlighting the franchise’s focus on building a strong and cohesive culture.

In a first for the franchise, the campaign prominently featured the women’s team captain, underlining Delhi Capitals’ commitment to integrating its men’s and women’s teams into a unified brand. “Our Tigers in blue and red are ready, and we look forward to an exciting season,” Gupta added.

Heading into the new season, Delhi Capitals boast a strong lineup led by T20 World Cup-winning captain Axar Patel. The squad includes experienced Indian players like KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav, along with Australian pace spearhead Mitchell Starc, making them a formidable unit.

The team will be eager to improve on last season’s performance, where they narrowly missed out on a playoff spot after finishing fifth with seven wins from 14 matches. Still chasing their maiden IPL title, Delhi Capitals will be determined to make a strong impact this year.

As per the schedule released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Delhi Capitals will kick off their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 1, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting season.
